Are you craving an opportunity to put your thoughts and ideas into ink on the page?

Are you looking for the chance to share your unique voice, perspective, and stories with others?

Are you longing for a place where you can work with professional writers who can help to guide you through a weekend filled with creative writing?

If you said, “Yes” then this is the writers workshop that you have been looking for and guess what? It’s Free. That’s right we believe that you deserve the chance to be heard.

You are invited to participate in a weekend-long community exploration experience that offers writing opportunities, crafting techniques, and reflection in small groups that take the shape of cohorts which range from 6-10 participants. Cohort members include students and teachers from various high schools, community members, as well as individuals from a variety of social service agencies (Higher Branches, Drop Inn Center, City Gospel Mission, Tender Mercies, The Homeless Coalition, and the Joseph House).

This free 2-day writing workshop that will focus on crafting techniques in fiction, non-fiction, and poetry, and will provide participants with education on a variety of community perspectives, and structured reflection opportunities through various writing forms. Everyone involved in this event believes that sharing our stories is a cyclical gift that we want to give to you.

WELCOME TO OUR WORLD. The fifth annual event was held this year at The School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. Next year’s location will be posted by January 2019.
